New MacBook Air - If you have followed Apple closely, you know that anytime you purchase a product from Apple that there is a pretty safe bet that it will be old news. So this is what happened here. If you purchased a Macbook Air there is a brand spanking new one now. What is new you might ask? First if you wanted a brand new Macbook, you won't be able to own one now. They have done away with the Macbook and now there is only Macbook Air and Macbook Pro. Second the price of the brand new Macbook Air is priced at $999 for the entry Macbook Air. The price goes up if you want more of the Macbook Air. Now the entry level Macbook Air is 11.1 inches in screen size has 64 GB of Flash storage has a dual core Intel Core i5 at 1.6 GHz processor, 2Gb of Memory comes standard on the machine built in FaceTime camera. Now some of the connections are different. If you want to transfer pics from a SD memory card you won't be able to do that on the entry level machine. You are going to have to upgrade to 13.3 Macbook Air. I will describe the 13.3 machine a little later. First let me finish with the 11.1 machine. Now in both machines it has the Thunderbolt connection which is faster than USB 2.o, battery life is 5 hours on the entry level machine. wireless built in 802.11 N which the fastest wireless connection, bluetooth 4.0, Now my problem with the computer was that it doesn't have a CD or DVD drive. But there argument is that since the App store is available you can download apps on your computer and don't need on. But if you can't find the app that you want to load on your computer. All you have to is this if you have a Macbook Air, it must be near a Mac or PC with a CD or DVD drive and you can share the drive and you can load the app on your Macbook Air. And comes built in with the Lion the new Mac OS.

The 13.3 Macbook Air costs $1299 has 128 MB of Flash storage. 1.7 GHz  dual core i5 Intel processor. 4GB of memory, and has the SD card slot for you to transfer your pics to the Macbook Air. The battery lasts 7 hours and has the rest of the same connections as the entry level. So if you want a light weight laptop then the Macbook Air could be the laptop for you.

Mac Mini is new - Mac Mini has been the most affordable computer that Apple has ever offered and it just keeps looking sleeker and sleeker every-time they update this machine. First of all if you are not familiar with the machine. It is very tiny. You can carry the machine in one hand. It is not like the towers that most PC users are accustomed to.  It is now faster than the previous version it has a 2.3 GHz dual core Intel i5 processor, 2GB of memory, 500 GB hard drive, Thunderbolt connection, SD card slot, built in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, HDMI to DVI adapter where you can user your old PC monitor and connect it to the new Mac Mini. Now the same thing as the Macbook Air it doesn't have a CD or DVD drive because like I mentioned above they don't believe you need one since they have made the App store available. Also it comes with the Lion OS built in. So the price of this entry level machine is $599 you can upgrade to the $799 version which will give you 4GB of memory, faster processor which is the 2.5 GHz dual core Intel i5 processor same hard drive storage capacity. And then the rest is the same. So if you are looking to purchase a new computer, which is very affordable  you might want to look into a Mac Mini

The Lion roars - The new OS has finally arrived for every Mac user out there. It was launched officially this past Wednesday if you remember my post when they announced that it was coming out. You might remember that Lion was going to incorporate some things that the iPad and iPhone have like the multi-touch gestures. But was more great news was the price of the upgrade version. It used to be that if you wanted to upgrade a Apple machine it would be a hefty price. But now they made the upgrade version affordable for everyone out there. It is going for the low low price of $29.99 so far most the reviews give the new OS a thumbs up. But I would still wait it out until they work out some of the bugs. But for a price like it could be like the long lines that you might have experienced at the Harry Potter movie.

Like I mentioned above since they have the App store working, you can now download Lion OS from the Apple App store. So you won't be waiting in line to get the OS. So ahead and fire up the computer and get your hands on the new OS.
