Happy Wednesday to everyone out there. Another hump day to get over and then the
rest of the week should be a breeze. We are getting closer to the Christmas day, we
are exactly 10 days away from everyone's favorite holiday. Where everyone gets a gift
and it doesn't matter if you were good or bad. You get one. But if you were bad then
you probably are going to be getting socks. Today I will be blogging about a topic
that happened during the week that I didn't post a blog.
The topic that I will be talking about is how popular a video game is at this point
and time. But as we all know that this is the time of year where every kid or grown
up who owns a video game console system will be asking people to give them a
particular video game that they want. I want to share with you a story that happened
during Thanksgiving week.
The game that I am going to be talking about is the craze over the game called
Call of Duty Black Ops. As we have seen in commercials promoting the game it depicts
people in a war, shooting guns, rocket launchers and even has guest stars for the
commercial like the likes of Jimmy Kimmel, and Kobe Bryant. So I guess that the
guest stars helped out for the sales of the game because it broke a one day sales
record for a video game. In the first 24 hours of the game made $360 million dollars.
As we all know that there is always people going to be waiting in line at midnight for
something that so desire. And with this game there was no exception to people waiting
in lines to get their hands on the game.
The story line of the game is basically, you are set in Cold-War with various
locations like Cuba, Vietnam and the Soviet Union. Now with the locations that
I mentioned, there was some controversy with the game. Because the game is set in
Cuba and your mission being this. The president of the U.S is John F. Kennedy and
you are a soldier and you are in Cuba and you have to assassinate Fidel Castro.
And this is where the controversy comes in. Because one Fidel Castro is still alive.
Cuba basically said what the U.S couldn't do in 50 years they are doing it in the
virtual world. But I bet there are some kids and grown ups that couldn't obtain the
game during the week it went on sale. They will be asking for this game for their
Christmas presents. So if you are a parent that is reading this I am giving
you a little heads up on what the kids will be asking. And if your a person looking
for something to get that guy in your life here is a suggestion to give him.
