There is a new literary project about to launch and is currently in the process of raise capital prior to changing the concept of a Chicago literary experience. Daniel Duffy is the man behind The Handshake Media Project, and he just reached his funding goal. Here is what each print issue of Handshake will contain: one experimental essay (in tribute to David Foster Wallace), one road trip in photographs (in a backwards tribute to Hunter Thompson), one conversation between two artists, writers, comedians, or musicians, one interview with a cultural icon (of sorts), and one short story by either a well-established or emerging author. Duffy is also planning an online component to the project and I can't wait for the entire thing to launch.
Even though Duffy has meet his goal their is still 26 days left to get in on the ground level and be a part of this project.
