ESPN 1000 and Chicagoland Speedway joining forces
As the Daytona 500 approaches, and Danica Patrick mania has engulfed the sports media in recent days, we’re reminded that the NASCAR season is almost here. Therfore, it’s timely that Chicagoland Speedway and ESPN Chicago (WMVP-AM 1000) announce today their partnership for the 2013 season. The deal includes weekly reporting by the WWL during the NASCAR season, driver interviews and even broadcasting some 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup races.

ESPN 1000 personality John “Jurko” Jurkovic will provide updates on the latest NASCAR news throughout the season. He’ll be your “auto racing guy.” Reporter Ray Flores will also provide weekly NASCAR reports to listeners. Live remote broadcasts will also be held from Chicagoland Speedway and NASCAR personalities and drivers will make regular appearances on various shows, including Waddle and Silvy and Carmen, Jurko and Harry.


ESPN radio to broadcast much of UIC Flames season
