Kendall Gill "The Return" Full NBA Summer League Coverage Team Announced

Kendall Gill "The Return" Full NBA Summer League Coverage Team Announced

We never did get Derrick Rose “The Return” this past Chicago Bulls season. And for obvious reasons, we never saw Kendall Gill “The Return” to Comcast SportsNet Chicago. However NBA Summer League starts up in a matter of days and you can see Kendall Gill “The Return” on NBA TV.

It’s hard to remain employed somewhere when you’ve punched another media member. As much as Illini fans everywhere would love to see Kendall Gill return to Chicago airwaves, you just can’t physically assault another media member and still keep your job. Especially if you commit that assault at a time when you are publicly representing your tv station’s brand.

Throughout NBA Summer League, NBA TV’s roster of personalities will be on-site in Orlando and Las Vegas. Vince Cellini and Rick Kamla will share play-by-play responsibilities in Orlando with analysts Dennis Scott and Kendall Gill. Matt Winer, Chad Andrus, Matt Devlin and Joel Myers will each provide play-by-play for select games in Las Vegas with a lineup of analysts including Steve Smith, Rick Fox, Brent Barry, Isiah Thomas, Sam Mitchell, Greg Anthony and reporters David Aldridge, Craig Sager, Jared Greenberg, Tracy Wolfson, Nischelle Turner and Stacy Paetz.

Since Kendall Gill and Tracy Wolfson are both covering NBA Summer League; let’s hope Tim Doyle and Bo Ryan are not. Well, let’s hope Tim Doyle doesn’t cover anything that I care to watch on television period. He should cover Cubs baseball or soccer; that would be great.

You will have 62 live game telecasts in 16 days on NBA TV, and all games live via the NBA Summer League Live subscription package on and NBA Mobile beginning Sunday, July 7. Live event coverage will feature 24 Summer League games from Orlando (July 7-12), held at the Magic’s practice facility at Amway Center, and 38 Summer League games from Las Vegas, held at the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion from July 12-22, including the first-ever championship game on Monday, July 22, at 9 p.m. ET.

Additionally, NBA TV’s signature NBA GameTime studio show will offer live daily highlights, news and information from Turner Studios in Atlanta.

NBA Summer League has only be around since 2004. But this year adds a new twist- a tournament crowning a champion at the end. The tournament round follows the round-robin format. Here’s the full list of participating teams and NBA Summer League schedule.

The Chicago Bulls first game is Monday July 15th at  Thomas & Mack, 5:30 PM vs. Denver.
