The Chicago Bulls selected Tony Snell out of New Mexico tonight with the 20th pick in the NBA Draft. The Bulls pick again in the second round, #49. I'll be back later with reaction to that pick. I'll also be doing an in-depth profile of both Snell and the #49 pick later. Will link them here.
Also, I'll have reaction/statements from Gar Forman and John Paxson on both picks too.
Fun fact: newly minted Chicago Bulls guard Tony Snell was actually born in 1991, the same year as the first Bulls NBA Championship. He also has 4.9% body fat.
Our first tweet is from Chicago Tribune Bulls beat writer K.C. Johnson, and then the Bulls official team account:
Snell: "It's crazy I'm going to the Bulls. I watched Jordan play my whole life. I watched Derrick Rose. I can’t wait to play with him."
— K.C. Johnson (@KCJHoop) June 28, 2013
Snell on playing with Spurs' Kawhi Leonard in high school: "Both of us know about hard work."

I always include at least one tweet from one of my follows who's not a media member in these posts.
First chance to see Tony Snell in action July 13, 5 pm PST, in Las Vegas.

IF the Bulls take Snell, someone in the know said he had a good workout in Chicago...long, athletic, shoots it, defends — Aggrey Sam (@CSNBullsInsider) June 28, 2013
WSCR 670 The Score Producer Chris Tannehill made a Coach Thibs joke:
Snell was not there because Thibs is already running his ass in practice — Chris Tannehill (@ChrisTannehill) June 28, 2013
The man with the most accurate NBA mock draft the past two years says.....
Frank Isola is the Knicks beat writer for the New York Daily News, an analyst on SNY TV and a contributor to NBA TV & TNT. He took a swipe at our beloved local media market.
Chicago media is already reporting that Thibodeau is playing Tony Snell too many minutes...but only when the Bulls lose. — Frank Isola (@FisolaNYDN) June 28, 2013
Here's how I reacted. The Score's Joe Ostrowski tweeted something similar very shortly thereafter. And Dan Bernstein chimed in too.

You have already lampooned profanely Tony Snell's mere connection to @UCLACoachAlford. I'm so proud (wipes tear surreptitiously, salutes).
