Blackhawks honoring Pat Foley Night Friday

When it comes to Pat Foley catch-phrases there's: “we hope you enjoyed the broadcast, I KNOW YOU enjoyed the outcome” as a sign-off following Blackhawks wins. For Hawks losses, Foley concludes with: “we hope you enjoyed the broadcast, in spite of the outcome.”

That’s his bit; like “STEAKS AND CAKES” and “DON’T CARE!” is for me. But my media career is just a drop of water compared to the ocean of media experience that is Pat Foley.

“Pat Foley Night” will take place with on-ice ceremony at the United Center Friday prior to the hockey game between the Chicago Blackhawks and Nashville Predators. A Pat Foley career profile will be presented on “Blackhawks Pre-Game Live” & CSNChicago.com

Comcast SportsNet’s Chicago Blackhawks beat reporter Susannah Collins will have an exclusive with Pat Foley. And the program will include additional interviews with Foley’s on-air partner/Blackhawks legend Eddie Olczyk, Blackhawks head Joel Quenneville and Blackhawks center Dave Bolland.

The pre-game show will also feature some of Foley’s best on-air calls. Following Blackhawks Post Game Live, SportsNet Central will recap the NHL Central division champion Blackhawks win over the Nashville Predators. Oh wait, am I being a bit presumptive about the hockey game outcome?

Well, one thing’s for sure, CSN will recap the “Pat Foley Night” festivities and the game on their post game show.
