Sportsnation Poll: Illinois only state supporting Lovie Smith firing

Take a look at that map of the United States of America. If it were a presidential electoral map, it would be Karl Rove's wet dream. It's what might happen if Barack Obama had approval numbers in the single digits. But that's not what this map is. It's actually an ESPN SportsNation poll asking if the Chicago Bears should have fired coach Lovie Smith or not.

Over 50,000 people were surveyed, and a resounding 65% believe Lovie's 10-6 record was good enough for him to stay. And every state except Illinois believe he should have been retained. I'm sure he did really well in Texas, as he's from Big Sandy, and a likely candidate for the defensive coordinator position with the Dallas Cowboys.
