ABC 7 dubs Metta World Peace "Lakers Idiot"

Los Angeles Lakers forward Metta World Peace (the NBA player formerly known as Ron Artest) is a polarizing figure. He’s a great interview, but comes off weird, sometimes idiotic to many. Whoever designed this screen designation for the local ABC Chicago affiliate is likely one of those fans who dislike him.

I actually think MWP is a smart guy, but I still find this screen grab hilarious.

(via @Ten_Foot_Midget, by way of Deadspin). Watch video at Deadspin link, ABC 7 does not have the video up, neither does anyone else. And Deadspin are facists when it comes to embedding video off their site.

Anyways, to the peeps at the studio on State/Lake, have fun with your retraction tomorrow!
