Where Final Four Alums and Fans Can Watch their Teams in Chicago

The Final Four is the second biggest sporting event annually to the Superbowl. Game watch parties will be sponsored by all four teams that will be playing in Atlanta. If you relish the chance to cheer on your team with fellow fans and alums. It will be the next best thing to being at the Georgia Dome or Carrier Dome, KFC Yum Center!, Crisler Arena and Charles Koch Arena.


According to the Syracuse Alumni Website, fans and Alums of the Orange will gather at The Beer Bistro North to as they put it “Cheer on Orange basketball with SU alumni and friends.” Beer Bistro North is at 1415 W. Fullerton, at the corner of Southport and Fullerton. The SU Alumni Club has more information at its website and facebook page.

Syracuse will be making its first Final Four Appearance in ten years and fifth overall. They were National Runner-up in 1987 and 1996, before capturing their first National Championship in 2003.

Beer Bistro has 101 bottled beers, 34 cans and 20 on tap. They also have the standard bar menu items and a few twists.



The Louisville Game Watch location is one that is familiar to many college sports fans. On Finley Dunne’s website, they show that they are home to Arizona, Indiana, Louisville and Ole Miss.

They have a  facebook page for the Louisville Club of Chicago that lists the information.

Louisville will be appearing in their second consecutive Final Four and tenth overall. The Cardinals won National Championships in 1980 and 1986. This is third final four appearance in nine years.



Being a Big Ten Team, The Wolverines have three sponsor bars in Chicago. Diag Bar and Grill, Rockit Burger Bar and Rockit Bar and Grill are all hubs for game watch parties for the Wolverines.

Michigan is making their seventh Final Four Appearance. Four times they finished as the national runner-up and they captured the 1989 National Championship.

The Owner of Crew Bar + Grill, Brian Wells is a Wichita State Alum. He avoided having to dress up as Flo from Alice, the 70’s TV series when the ninth seeded Shockers upset second seed for Ohio State. He won a bet with his business partner, who now has to don the Flo costume and bartend during the Final Four. Crew dubs themselves as “Chicago’s premiere Gay Sports Bar and Grill.

Wichita State is appearing in its second Final Four, the last time was in 1965.
