Cubs In Haiku: Kyuji Fujikawa

The Cubs new pitcher
Kyuji Fujikawa
Japansese, haiku!

The Cubs have reportedly signed Japanese closer Kyuji Fujikawa. Fans are excited about his 1.77 lifetime ERA, his more than 4-to-1 strike out to walk ratio, and his 40-23 win loss record.

That sounds good to me, too.  But I'm mostly excited that his name fits perfectly as a middle line in the form of Japanese poetry which is the raison d'etre of this blog.

Epstein, Hoyer and pals have my undying gratitude.
