Cubs In Haiku: Convention "Shocker"

A surprise? Hardly
Even I tweeted the "news"
Before it happened

Cubs fans got just what they wanted as the Opening Ceremonies came to a close at Cubs Convention on Friday.

After introducing legends, coaches, executives and much of the 2012 roster, Pat Hughes said he had some breaking news. That was all it took for the crowd to erupt into the loudest and longest ovation of the afternoon as they celebrated the re-signing of Kerry Wood.

A fun start to what I'm sure will be a great weekend for Cubs fans.
