Marcos Mateo leaves the game after giving up four runs in the eighth

A depressing 8th
Rockies score 4 with 2 outs
Losing road trip ends
Marcos Mateo was one pitch away from getting out of a jam in the eight, but ...
With the game tied at 5, Ryan Spilborghs led off with an infield single that Marcos Mateo (0-1) deflected with his glove. He reached third when Jose Lopez blooped a double to right that Kosuke Fukudome overran. Cubs manager Mike Quade then met with the infielders and Mateo on the mound. Mateo struck out the next two batters, but Fowler lined the ball up the middle into right-center, driving in both runners. Jonathan Herrera and Gonzalez added RBI singles.
The Cubs return to Chicago, marking the start of the Passover holiday by hosting the Padres for their first night game at Wrigley Field on Monday. Carlos Zambrano will face Tim Stauffer as the Cubs try to get back to .500.
Ticket sales remain slow, so the Cubs are offering a "Best Buy Pack" that includes 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 drinks for as little as $40 for Monday night's game.
