Matt Martin
My name is Matt Martin and I am a lifelong Chicago sports fan. I am a Cubs fan that grew up in a White Sox family on the North Side of Chicago. I learned to read on the sports pages of my grandpa's morning papers. One of my first memories is freezing my ass off with my mom and my cousin at the Bears Super Bowl Rally in 1986, I was only six years old. I caught a puck during the 75th anniversary season of the NHL. I ditched school to go the Bulls rally's in the 90's. I am a graduate of the Second City Chicago Conservatory program. I am working on an M.F.A. at Columbia College Chicago and have my bachelors from there in Fiction Writing. I host the celebrated literary series Come Home Chicago along with local author Don De Grazia and the Malort Girls. I have had fiction published in Hair Trigger and Hypertext Magazine. I bleed the colors of the Chicago Flag and still hope one day in my lifetime the Chicago Cubs will win a World Series.
