What role will Jimmy Butler have for the Bulls?

What role will Jimmy Butler have for the Bulls?
When Jimmy Butler was drafted by the Chicago Bulls out of Marquette, eventually the idea was that he would replace Ronnie Brewer, and have a similar role within the bench mob. Now that Brewer is gone (and with him Kyle Korver, meaning 2/3 of the Chicago Jazz or Utah Bulls are now gone) it’s ready... Read more »

He’s back with the Bulls after signing with the team as a free agent this offesason. He will start alongside Richard Hamilton, Luol Deng, Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah tonight in the... Read more »

Michael Jordan's team projected to have worst NBA season record ever

Michael Jordan's team projected to have worst NBA season record ever
It’s the very definition of irony. Not coincidence or “a bummer” mislabeled as irony, which you’ll hear from third-rate television and newspaper journalists everywhere. Michael Jordan, who won six titles with the Chicago Bulls, and is widely considered the greatest player in NBA history, has been an abject failure as an owner. His NBA franchise,... Read more »

(UPDATE) Derrick Rose fans angry at Northwestern Football Tweet about Jeremy Lin

(UPDATE) Derrick Rose fans angry at Northwestern Football Tweet about Jeremy Lin
(UPDATE:) It’s rare to see a complimentary tweet stir up the blood the way this one has. A tweet previously mis-attributed to Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald admired newly minted New York Knicks star and ESPN pet of pets (yes, the fawning over there is greater than or equal to Tim Tebow level) Jeremy Lin. The... Read more »

Will the Bulls have the NBA's Best Record Again?

Will the Bulls have the NBA's Best Record Again?
Of all the questions surrounding the Chicago Bulls this season, only one truly matters- can they get past the Miami Heat this year? Because of what happened last season (4-1 Eastern Conference Finals loss despite the Bulls having home court advantage), what could happen this year (many NBA experts predict the same outcome this year)... Michael Jordan Speaks About NBA Lockout, Gets Fined 100 Grand
The NBA fined Michael Jordan $100,000 today for comments he made last month about the lengthening lockout and Milwaukee Bucks Center Andrew Bogut. Damn, that’s a lot of scrilla for just speaking your mind. In an Aug. 19 interview with Australian newspaper The Herald Sun, the Charlotte Bobcats owner and Chicago Bulls legend spoke extensively... New Luvabulls Squad Announced; Illini and Boilermakers Represented

Last night the Chicago Bulls selected the 2011-12 Luvabulls, their official dance team. And I was on hand at UIC athletic center to see the final cut of NBA dancer hotties, and to meet and greet the new 2011-12 Luvabulls squad. Yes, I really know work is so difficult and grueling for me, isn’t it?... Read more »

New Chicago Bulls Dance Team (Luvabulls) Unveiled for 2011-12 (Videos)

When I was on my media studies fellowship; granted by the Fulbright foundation, I was told that the program had a 9% acceptance rate. Well, that’s nothing compared to the odds of trying to make the Luvabulls, the Chicago Bulls dance team. Last year, they started out with 25 on the squad. There were 21 by the end of the NBA season; 16 returned to try out this season (all veterans must re-apply each year by rule and the coordinator told me if they get above 50% retention in this area, it’s a very good year). 15 of those 16 who returned made the cut for 2011-12. That leaves nine spots open for 290 new dancers. Yes, that’s 3.1%...
