Doing a power rankings is fun and interesting in the beginning and/or middle of the season. Towards the end, it’s kind of useless. You just look at the standings. Also, preconference basketball doesn’t really mean as much as conference action. That’s when we’ll learn a lot more. Now that Butler has knocked off the #1 Hoosiers
, you know they’ll lose their spot at #1 here as well.
Guess who the new #1 is...
It’s that time of year again, when I make smart ass remarks justifying why I’m picking one college football
team to beat another. Not only do I give you the full bowl schedule with tv listings, there’s fun and goofy pictures of cheerleaders
and hot female fans interspersed within the listing.
And to make the post more pure to the game and traditional, I took OUT all the corporate sponsor names of the bowls...
No snarky or witty intro here, let’s just get down to the brass tax. You know what this post is about. For our team power rankings go here 1. Denard Robinson- Wolverines All his deep completions are just lucky jump balls that he throws up there. And he lofts it when he shouldn’t. And doesn’t... Read more »
These are highly subject to change. Brady Hoke remarked at Media Day that UM was picked fifth in their division a year ago; and just outside the top 25 in the year they won their last national title- 1997. So maybe these rankings don’t really mean all that much? Of course, that won’t stop you... Read more »
Like the famous book is titled “Death to the BCS ,” and it looks like it’s finally here as the University presidents announced approval of a 4-team seeded playoff for college football
. The committee will select teams based on conference championships and strength of schedule, beginning with the 2014 season.
There will be 6 bowls to be utilized as part of the semifinals, likely to include the 4 BCS bowls. The title game will be bid out to cities just like the Super Bowl. One city you’ll see for sure in the mix is Indianapolis...
The Chicago Blackhawks Patrick Kane is at it again. Or more likely, he’s been at it, but this time he’s been shutterbugged and published. This is courtesy of Terez Owens. We have some fun pics for you. From the Terez Owens “tipster” comes this: “I go to the University of Wisconsin-Madison and we had our... Read more »
The addition of transfer quarterback Russell Wilson and blossoming of running back Montee Ball has transformed what was a very good Wisconsin Badgers offense into the most prolific unit in school history. This season, the Badgers have scored touchdowns on 61 of their 70 trips to the redzone (.871), including a perfect 5-of-5 in the... Read more »
For the second consecutive year, the Wisconsin Badgers are headed back to Pasadena to represent the Big Ten in the BCS Rose Bowl. The inaugural Big Ten Championship and 42-39 win over the Michigan State Spartans was a game for the ages. It included a ton of offense (816 total yards), multiple lead changes (three... Read more »
Here we go- the inaugural Big Ten Championship game- a play-in game for the Rose Bowl. Something MSU has has been playing for and focusing on for awhile. This year in East Lansing, it’s all about “P4RB” meaning “Prepare for Rose Bowl” for the Michigan State Spartans. It’s a slogan you’ll find displayed on t-shirts... Read more »
