Chicago connections to Super Bowl XLVII

Chicago connections to Super Bowl XLVII
You know what would be really cool? For the Chicago tie to the Super Bowl to be that the Bears would be in it. You know what’s not really cool? Reality. The Bears are on the outside looking in. Instead of preparing for an epic battle in New Orleans, most players are probably busy handing out Super Bowl party invites. And even though some of those players are living it up in Hawaii for the Pro Bowl festivities, at the end of the day, no one really gives a rat’s ass about the Pro Bowl. That’s actually a proven scientific fact. Google it...

Chip Kelly a good fit to replace Lovie Smith?

Chip Kelly a good fit to replace Lovie Smith?
There’s been enough written and said about the job security of Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith. If he’s gone, which is quite likely, time to move forward and think ahead to his replacement. Oregon Ducks head coach Chip Kelly is being recruited by the NFL once again. He turned down the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head job last year and rumors are abound that he’ll replace the soon to be fired Andy Reid in Philadelphia. With a record of 45-7, the highest winning percentage in all of college football, third in the nation in wins over that span, and he’s made a BCS bowl every year he’s coached in Eugene. He’s a hot coaching commodity. And he endorses this website, which is very important. But will his coaching style translate to the NFL...

Illini Safety Tavon Wilson drafted by New England Patriots

Illini Safety Tavon Wilson drafted by New England Patriots
New England certainly needs help in their secondary. They have WRs playing DB for them that’s how short-handed they are. Remember Julian Edelman covering Anquan Boldin in the AFC Title game? Troy Brown actually played some defensive back too; even though he was a wide receiver by trade. And the Patriots legend fittingly announced this... Read more »

Bears 2012 Schedule has prime time feel

Bears 2012 Schedule has prime time feel
If you want to pick the Chicago Bears to lose a game, take a Monday Night Football road game in December. Forget the myth about “Bear Weather,” Chicago is just not very good in the late season when it’s cold, and pretty awful on Monday night- usually. Only one of their three MNFers is late... Read more »

Tebow slams fellow athletes, separation of church of state in Easter service (video)
If there’s anyone who mixes faith and sports, (and with it, intentionally or unintentionally, politics and sports) it’s Tim Tebow. Those who believe sports should be kept from being used as a political platform need to cast the first stone at Tim Tebow, as he consistently commits that act over and over again. It was...
