Chip Kelly a good fit to replace Lovie Smith?

Chip Kelly a good fit to replace Lovie Smith?
There’s been enough written and said about the job security of Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith. If he’s gone, which is quite likely, time to move forward and think ahead to his replacement. Oregon Ducks head coach Chip Kelly is being recruited by the NFL once again. He turned down the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head job last year and rumors are abound that he’ll replace the soon to be fired Andy Reid in Philadelphia. With a record of 45-7, the highest winning percentage in all of college football, third in the nation in wins over that span, and he’s made a BCS bowl every year he’s coached in Eugene. He’s a hot coaching commodity. And he endorses this website, which is very important. But will his coaching style translate to the NFL...

Jay Cutler endorses Mitt Romney for President

Jay Cutler endorses Mitt Romney for President
The polarizing Chicago Bears quarterback just made himself more polarizing. Jay Cutler has chosen a side politically; ignoring the longstanding unwritten rule for athletes “just shut up and play.” Today he appeared on his weekly segment, the “Jay Cutler Show” on WMVP-AM ESPN 1000, and he was asked by co-host Tom Waddle about his voting... Chicago Bears 2013 Offseason Game Plan

Chicago Bears 2013 Offseason Game Plan
Guest post by Joey Flaherty Spirits are high in Chicago. The Bears moved to 4-1 with a dominating 41-3 victory in Jacksonville over the weekend. As an aside, I’d like to point out that I predicted the Bears would be sitting at this exact record heading into their bye week (you can find that proof... Read more »

Bears-Packers wager made by top NASCAR drivers

Bears-Packers wager made by top NASCAR drivers
Typically when NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stars Matt Kenseth and Kurt Busch discuss the “field” it has to do with 41 other drivers and isn’t named “Lambeau,” but on Thursday, Sept. 13 that all changes. Prior to heading to Chicagoland Speedway to kick off the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, Kenseth and Busch will... Read more »

Urlacher girlfriend Jenny McCarthy accidentally sends nude photo to dentist
Don’t you hate it when you unwittingly send a naked picture of yourself to an 80 year old member of the opposite sex? Happens to the best of us, doesn’t it? Soldier Field, Obama hosting NATO dignitaries Sunday Night

Soldier Field, Obama hosting NATO dignitaries Sunday Night
The world is watching Chicago this weekend, but it’s not to see the 19-21 White Sox take on the 15-24 Cubs. Solider Field will host an event with worldwide interest and global implications, but it’s not the Bears vs. a rival NFC power for the chance to go to the Super Bowl. On Sunday and... Read more »

Bears 2012 Schedule has prime time feel

Bears 2012 Schedule has prime time feel
If you want to pick the Chicago Bears to lose a game, take a Monday Night Football road game in December. Forget the myth about “Bear Weather,” Chicago is just not very good in the late season when it’s cold, and pretty awful on Monday night- usually. Only one of their three MNFers is late... Making the Bears first 2 draft picks

Making the Bears first 2 draft picks
A lot of people have Michael Floyd of Notre Dame mocked to the Chicago Bears in their mock drafts. SO before delving into who I have the Bears taking, I should explain why I don’t have them grabbing Floyd; using excerpts from my mock draft to break it all down.   10. Buffalo, Michael Floyd,... Bears WR Roy Williams Drops Suit vs. Miss Texas Brooke Daniels

Bears WR Roy Williams Drops Suit vs. Miss Texas Brooke Daniels
Chicago Bears wideout Roy Williams was a HORRIBLE signing by a front office known for making some really dumb NFL personnel moves. Especially when you consider his contract is for $2.5 million. Although he sucks at catching footballs, at least Williams did the right thing in dropping his lawsuit against ex-girlfriend and Miss Texas 2009... Read more »

Don't Blame Tim Tebow, Blame Media for his Overexposure

Don't Blame Tim Tebow, Blame Media for his Overexposure
Without a doubt Tim Tebow is the most polarizing figure in the entire sporting world. And the main reason isn’t his overt Christian faith, which he publicly displays as if he were receiving royalties for every mention of the lord, or even anything inherent to his personality. I don’t think Tebow himself is worth hating.... Read more »
