The Manti Te’o saga just keeps getting weirder and weirder. An NFL player believes that Te’o's (man constantly writing this double apostrophe thing is getting weird) fake dead girlfriend Lennay Kekua is real. Notre Dame Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick decided that the school would attach their ultimate ruling in the court of public opinion to Te’o. An ND player claims that some players knew something fishy was going on, and that Te’o was with other women on campus all the time. The “love of his life” routine was all a farce. Outsports thinks this could be a beard covering up the fact that Te’o is gay.
More details continue to unravel and most of them make Manti look like he may have been in on the sting. And the parody has already begun- there’s a Te’o meme, and a Fighting Irish, Te’o parody t-shirt.
