'13 Illini hoops recruiting class gets even better

The Tim Beckman hire is such a disaster that it requires FEMA aid, but so far the entrance of John Groce may be alright. It looks like this guy can really recruit. Monday afternoon Austin Colbert, a four-star center from Gill St. Bernards in New Jersey, announced his commitment to the Illini. He did it through Twitter; which is of course the new AP.

Get ready “cuz this is the Colbert Report.”

Expect a ton of Stephen Colbert jokes over the next four years.

According to the Champaign Room:

The 6’9 center is ranked 92nd on The Rivals 150 for the 2013 class. He’s the third member of our 2013 class from the list, joining Kendrick Nunn (45th) and Malcolm Hill (67th).

Our 2013 class was already considered one of the ten best in the country by Rivals, and that’s only going to be going up now.

Thank god we have basketball, you guys.
