New Luvabulls Squad Announced; Illini and Boilermakers Represented

Last night the Chicago Bulls selected the 2011-12 Luvabulls, their official dance team. And I was on hand at UIC athletic center to see the final cut of NBA dancer hotties, and to meet and greet the new 2011-12 Luvabulls squad. Yes, I really know work is so difficult and grueling for me, isn’t it? I just love being envied by all my guy friends.

This year’s squad includes the former captain of the Illinois Fighting Illini dance team during the 2005 college basketball nation runner-up season, and a former dancer for the Purdue Boilermakers. Lots of Big Ten reppin going on!

Ashley Bond is a personal trainer, veteran Chicago Luvabull entering her fifth year on the squad, Miss Illinois USA 2009 and actress. She’s my blog sister at Chicago Now, where she writes a fitness advice column. Bond is a University of Illinois graduate who contributes to the Red Eye Chicago 5 on 5 and Bulls TV; also the host of POWERADE ZERO Fit Club.

You can follow her on Twitter here, and read her CN blog here.

Lauren is a rookie to the Luvabulls squad, Indianapolis native and a former Purdue dance team member. Below you’ll see video exclusive interviews of both Both Ashley and Lauren
