For some weird reason the Chicago White Sox has to waste money campaigning to get first-baseman and team leader Paul Konerko voted to the American League All-Star team.
Why? Well every year in every sport some amazing player gets left out of the All-Star game, and people are always upset. But still why Konerko?
Some people would say the Konerko is having an MVP season. Batting at .324, 22 homeruns, and 64 RBIs, it is hard for anyone to argue against him being include.
Some Sox players have been spotted wearing “Paul Star” tee-shirts; in order to gain awareness for their cause. The shirts are not necessary, because the national media spent all July 5, debating why Konerko was not on the list.
Quite frankly the Sox have more important things to do than to worry about the all-star game. With a chance to gain some ground in the American League standings, the Sox dropped the ball again losing to the Kansa City Royals 3-5.
The White Sox are sitting 3.5 games out of the central division and 8 games out of the wild card race.
