Coaching and Ref Clinics coming up!

If you are interested in becoming a bigger part of the game, some coaching and reffing clinics are coming up in ajust a few short weeks. The last coaching clinic was completely sold out! This is one of many signs to the awesome growth and youth development that is happening. The Chicago Area Referees’ Society will hold a Level 1 Referee Certification Course on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Sycamore High School. You can got to the iYRA website now to sign up and get more informationa bout the clinic. The next coaching course, will not be for certification but will be Serevi Rugby™ Core Skills coaching course will be held in Chicago on Friday March 8 from 6pm to 9pm. Serevi is the king of 7s and the  course’s curriculum focuses on core rugby skills. These skills anchor rugby, and therefore, make this course applicable to coaches of any level. Key focus points include coaching vocabulary, technique indicators and fixes, drill flow and progression. All Serevi Rugby™ coaching courses are endorsed by USA Rugby and this course will earn you five Continuing Education Units. This will also be the same weekend as the Serevi Rugby Camp weekend. He's a Sevens legend and two-time World Cup Champion Waisale Serevi bringing Waisale Serevihis first-rate coaching team to Chicago area to run a Training Camp in partnership with Chicago Hope Academy The camp is March 9 & 10, 2013, at Chicago Hope Academy’s spectacular new turf field at Altgeld Park This camp is open to all male and female high school, college and club athletes of all ages.
