The fall season is coming to a wrap this Saturday. Chicago Women and Chicago North Shore were both eliminated from the National playoffs and will not be making the trip to Florida this weekend. However Chicago Riot, Chicago Griffins and Chicago Lions were all successful in their playoff games last weekend and will be playing another round of rugby this Saturday. The Chicago Riot will be playing at Hope Field at 1pm against the Green bay Celts.
Nothing to do tonight, in about a half hour (I know short notice) but you can tune into FoxSoccerPlus or visit USARugby.org this Friday at 11pm to watch Andrew and Roland Suniula from the Chicago Griffins take on Russia with the USA XV Eagles.
The Chicago Blaze fields will be hosting the WIIL Conference Elite 8 DII playoffs. You can go out to the Blaze pitch and see some of the top DII Colleges in the Nation! 10:00 AM UW-Stout vs. Eastern Illinois 11:30 AM Western Illinois vs. UW-Milwaukee 1:00 PM UW-Whitewater vs. Loyola 2:30 PM Illinois St. vs. UW-Lacrosse
Also as Thanksgiving near and you begin training for Black Friday sales, you might want to check out one of the many Rugby Turkey Bowls that will be going on through out the city and suburbs. You can get down to dodge and weaving technique to be in top form when it comes to the most athletic shopping experience of the year.
I hope you all have a great weekend and get to enjoy the last nice weekend probably for the rest of the year.
