Although the traditional wedding cake has always been a great part of weddings, Chicago cupcakes are Chicago brides' new tasty fad. Your guests will love the flavor options, and the colors of a cupcake tower can brighten any Chicago wedding venue. Chicago's favorite wedding planner Big City Bride would like to introduce you to some of the most scrumptious wedding cupcake shops in Chicago.
First on the list, Molly's Cupcakes located at 2536 N. Clark Street. Molly's Cupcakes has flavors ranging from the classic chocolate, vanilla, or red velvet to center-filled cupcakes like cookies-and-cream or butterscotch carmel.
Sprinkle's Cupcakes is located at 50 E. Walton Street. Are you a chocolate lover? Try the chocolate marshmallow, chocolate coconut, or peanut butter chocolate cupcake to satisfy that sweet tooth. Sprinkle''s cupcake flavors rotate depending on the day of the week, so check out the schedule on their website before ordering!
Sweet Many B's has mini, regular, and jumbo sized cupcakes. Located at 1208 W. Webster Ave, it's just down the street from the Big City Bride office. Our absolute favorite cupcake flavor at Sweet Mandy B's is carrot cake. Somehow they make it better than any other carrot cake cupcake around. That's not to say every flavor isn't great...it's just a Big City Bride favorite!
Last, located in the heart of the city at 108 N. State Street, across from the historical Macy's on State Street, is Magnolia Bakery. With shops in the world's biggest cities including Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and Dubai you know you can't go wrong with these well-known delicious treats! Famous from Sex in the City episodes and known for a line around the block in New York City's Greenwich Village, Chicago finally got a Magnolia Bakery just last year. Besides their cupcakes, Big City Bride also adores their banana pudding!
We love cupcakes as another option for a wedding cake. Plan to have a few boxes around in case there are left over cupcakes at the end of the night so your guests can take them to go! Some brides and grooms are even giving cupcakes away as a favor, and still having a traditional wedding cake as well. There is no better way to talk about how great a wedding was the night before than with a cup of coffee and a cupcake.
