Wedding photography is so important to many couples. Not only is it a chance to document every decision made throughout the Chicago wedding planning process, but it's a chance to capture the moments you never want to forget. Many brides and grooms choose to embrace their Chicago wedding with a photo tour of the city, stopping at favorite and sentimental city spots.
On any given Saturday in the summer, be prepared to wait in line at some of the most popular photo sites. Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park is worth the stop and the wait to many wedding parties. Millennium Park is also very popular for Chicago wedding pictures, with Cloud Gate (the Bean) being a favorite backdrop for not just Chicago wedding photos, but photography in general.
It's a fun place in the daytime, and an incredibly romantic place at night.
The reflection of the skyline is unbelievable (seen below...as photographed by Gerber + Scarpelli).
Many wedding parties love to stop by a bridge for great shots of the river and city. State Street bridge is a popular but they all offer great views! And if you're feeling risky - take to the streets! Posing at the median in Michigan Avenue always makes for an amazing photograph. The looks on strangers' faces are half the fun! On your wedding day, the streets of Chicago are your runway...feel beautiful and strike a pose!
Thank you Robyn Rachel for capturing this couple so beautifully!
