It has been 2 weeks since the Knot's Annual Chicago Party and people are still talking about it. Wednesday, October 21, the 2nd floor of Salvage One was not only loud with the beautiful colors of the 60's but with the chatting of Chicago Event Industry's finest. With Big City Bride as the ring leaders for the event, we were thrilled to see it go down without a hitch.
Berghoff provided an exquisite menu from short ribs to a make your own chowder station. But the hit of the night was the bread pudding station. With four different types of bread pudding the familiar dessert was an added treat to the main event. Carlynn Berghoff was also present for the event with her newest book: The Berghoff Cafe Cookbook. Not only was she there for the party but she donated 20% of her book proceeds that night to the Animal House Shelter, the charity present at the event.
Another major hit of the party was a photo booth provided by The Knot's national sponsor Shutter Booth. With 4 chances to take fun pictures there was a line to get in the booth next. Shutter Booth also provided plastic sleeves for the photos which created them into a book mark.
After a presentation given by the Knot 5 give aways were given out to the guests in attendance. There were 4 tickets to a summer show at Ravinia Festival, a dinner for two at Fulton's on the River, a jewelry party with Erin Gallagher, and 2 necklaces from Nikki Vain all given away.
With the generous contributions from guests, Animal House Shelter left with boxes of food, toys, and supplies for the shelter.
The event was an overall success; guests in attendance where updated with the happenings at the Knot Wedding Network, it was a great chance for vendors in the event industry to catch up and have a fun night out.
Stay tuned for more from Big City Bride
