The largest event in the city of Chicago is finally here, the Chicago Marathon. This weekend, the city is being taken over by 40,000 plus runners that will make their way around 26.2 miles of Chicago. The Marathon Expo will be taking place at McCormick Place on Friday from 8:30-8:30pm and Saturday from 8:30-6:30pm. The two day Expo is free and open to the public. The expo showcases the newest designs in running gear and shoes, as well as the latest developments in sports, fitness, and nutrition. There will be free shuttles to the Expo from Chinatown, The Chicago Hilton, Columbus and Wacker, and Niketown. These shuttles also run from 8:30-8:30pm on Friday and 8:30am-6:30pm on Saturday.
Sunday is the main event! The gun goes off at 7:30am and the fun begins. As the runners take the streets of Chicago, 2.2 million spectators will cheer them on. This is the event to see this weekend! Throughout the 29 neighborhoods of Chicago is one amazing race.
