Have you heard of the American Rhythm Center? It's a new space that just opened in the Fine Arts Building to serve as the headquarters to multiple dance organizations that rehearse and/or offer dance classes. To show off the various programs, each dance group is offering a free class from its current schedule from now until Sunday.
I don't know about you, but I'm tired of hearing about boring classes like yoga and pilates. This week, try something adventurous like Flamenco, tap, Bollywood, Tai Chi or jazz. And don't worry about not having any experience because that's why they're doing this!
Click here to check out all of the classes available, and you can pick one class from each color. All you have to do is sign-in at the registration desk about 15 minutes before class starts and you'll get your punch card. If you're already a student, but let your instructor know and he/she will give you a punch card. Don't lose the card or you're out of luck.
This is also a great opportunity to check out the historic Fine Arts Building. Click here to read more about it. You'll love taking the 100-year-old elevator, complete with old man elevator operator. It's one of my favorite things about the building!
