If you're riding the "L" on Sunday, you may find yourself surrounded by pants-less riders. Why? The 12th Annual No Pants Subway Ride takes place around the world, encouraging lovers of fun to drop their drawers and take a ride. If you want to participate in the Chicago edition, meet at 1210 W Arthur, right off the Loyola Red Line stop at noon on Sunday.
Now, on to the weekend!
There are plenty of improv shows around the city, but I suggest trying out a The Funny Story Show on Sunday. Usually you'll find it at LooseLeaf Lounge the second Thursday of the month, but you get a special chance to see host Caitlin Bergh perform her one-woman story show at 8 p.m. at Studio BE. The pre-show begins at 7 p.m., and it's BYOB so you might want to stake out your spot early.
I love Shakespeare, but I understand not everyone is as nerdy as I am. Regardless, even if you're not a lit geek, check out the Suitcase Shakespeare Company's production of MacBeth at the Athenaeum Theatre. The classic, already very bloody, tales is redone to make it even more graphic and expressive. And it's an incredible story.
If you're like me, you probably never got to see "Back to the Future" in the theaters. (Infants don't tend to do well during movies.) Now's your chance to see it large and in person at the Logan Theatre tonight, tomorrow night and Monday night.
National Pizza Week is winding down. Get $5 pizzas at Socca from now until Sunday.
You can still take advantage of free dance classes at the American Rhythm Center!
