So many good things are happening this weekend! "Mad Men" is back, the Hunger Games comes out and there's a really random maple syrup festival. I don't think I'm going to make it to the maple syrup thing, but you can bet I'll be all over "Mad Men."
The Fat Cat is bringing back its "Mad Men" viewing party every Sunday. In addition to watching the show, viewers can enjoy tableside old fashions, $1 appetizers and drink specials on Heineken, Stoli Martini's and Moscow Mules.
Ever wonder how maple syrup is made? Me neither, but I like how it tastes. Tap a tree, collect some sap and boil it down to syrup at the North Park Village Nature Center Maple Syrup Festival this weekend from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. You can warm yourself by the fire while you eat sugary goodness.
I'll bet you didn't know there are two parades this weekend. Head to Devon Avenue on Saturday and you'll see the colorful floats of the Bangladesh Parade to celebrate the country's 41st anniversary of independence. The Greek Independence Day Parade will go through Greektown on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
