Happy Friday the 13th! I don't actually care about the date; I just think it's funny to watch people get all freaked out. Fun fact, fear of Friday the 13th is called friggatriskaidekaphobia. Since life will obviously go on after today, here are a few fun things for you to do this weekend.
This is very appropriate for the current weather: The Chicago Dramatists will open Blizzard '67 this weekend, a play about Chicago businessmen who are stuck together during the city's worst snowstorm. Check out the clips on the website; you'll start having flashbacks to last year's Snowpocolypse.
The Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival is winding down, so don't miss out on one of the things that makes Chicago great! Starting tonight you can choose to see any of the 50 comedy acts at State 773. (I can't get over how much nicer that theater is now!) My recommendation would be the Cupid Players. Hilarious.
I'm finally going ice skating at the John Hancock building this weekend! I'm not sure what sort of experience this will be, but I'll report back on whether or not it's worth it.
