So excited it's Friday and even more excited for tonight. What am I doing tonight, you ask? Meeting Ron Jeremy at the Hustler store. I'm going to buy a raunchy copy of the magazine and have him sign it. And I just found out that the first 20 people in line get a gift bag. What's in the gift bag?!!!!!! I must find out!!!! If it's something good I'll have to post about it next week.
Now, on to the weekend:
I'm pretty sure this is a little kid's event, but I don't care because this sounds like so much fun. The Chicago Cultural Center is hosting a Dance-Along Nutcracker on Sunday, inviting everyone to dress up in their best tutus and dance with professional dancers.
I have to hand it to the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce; they do a great job of marketing the neighborhood. This Saturday night is the annual Late Night Andersonville festival, a holiday celebration where stores and restaurants stay open late to allow for more holiday shopping. Many retailers will also offer entertainment and delicious goodies during the festival. Check out the website for a list of happenings.
Free holiday movies kicks off tonight at Trade Todd's. Check out White Christmas at 7:00 p.m. and Elf at 9:00 p.m. Free movies run every Friday and Saturday night until December 20.
Can you believe that Do Division was six months ago?! It may not be "drinks on the patio" season anymore, but you can still enjoy all the revalry at Do Division Holiday. Restaurants and retailers along the street are offering discounts, specials and events all weekend. My favorite is the free horse drawn carriage rides and roaming elves passing out coupons and gift certificates.
