Have you ever thought to yourself 'wouldn't it be awesome to get married on a stage with an American Idol runner-up and 24 other couples' then you can make your dream come true! ChicagStyle Weddings magazine has put together this sad stunt that precedes a real wedding reception....although you have to share it with the other couples and you can only invite eight guests. There are no words for this.
Now that's out of the way, one to the weekend musts!
The East Lakeview Fine Arts Festival is my favorite of the city's art festival. There's a huge number of artists presenting the right combination of incredible art at a variety of prices. I can't wait to see the urban garden featuring a collection of sculptures.
Once you've gotten your fill of Boystown's offerings, get your indie fix at the Renegade Craft Fair. The craft fair gives you the best of independent artists and DIY classes sprinkled with delicious food, pet adoptions and local music gurus.
Keep the Festival de La Villita, German American Festival and the Windy City Wine Festival. I'd also recommend the Wells Street Fall Festival because Marcy Playground is going to be there. Remember that one awesome song? Yup, just one.
