It's going to be a beautiful weekend in Chicago! I plan to be outside every moment I can....except for the couple of hours I'm spending at the Kohler Spa in Burr Ridge. So excited! I'm also excited for:
I can't get enough of the food truck scene, which is why I think the Food Truck Social is the cat's meow. Not only will this event feature more food trucks than any other I've seen, but it will also feature a pop-up food truck with chefs from Urban Belly, Schwa, Big Star and even Stephanie Izard from Girl and The Goat! And, of course, it wouldn't be an outdoor event with live music and random retailers. The event will take place at the West Town Chamber of Commerce tomorrow from noon to 10:00 p.m.
If you're like me an on the hunt for your perfect reality show, this one might be yours! Lifetime is hosting an open casting call to find America's supernanny. The audition is on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at The Palmer House Hilton. And if you're one of those weird people that's okay with having your children appear as misbehaving brats on national television, there's also an open casting for families who want to be on the show at Pump It Up in Glenview tomorrow! (This doesn't sound like my perfect reality show so much as my perfect nightmare.)
Have you been to the Randolph Street Market Festival ? Just two weekends left! Check out the collection of new, vintage and just generally cool stuff to buy at this massive outdoor/indoor festival this Saturday and Sunday. A quick tip: don't be like me and completely miss the inside. Not sure how that happened, but I think I skipped half of the market that way. Here are a few photo highlights I took in June:
