RJ Vanecko Case Reeked To High Heaven

RJ Vanecko Case Reeked To High Heaven
I have written extensively about why I felt the RJ Vanecko Case involved official misconduct and/or malfeasance by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and that the Chicago Police Department engaged in perpetrating a coverup in order to protect the Daley Family name in the minutes and hours after Richard “RJ” Vanecko fatally struck David... What's Up With Sealing The RJ Vanecko Files?

What's Up With Sealing The RJ Vanecko Files?
I Think the people are entitled to know – What’s Up With Sealing The RJ Vanecko Files? From the get go it seems as if everyone and their political mother’s have been trying to protect Richard RJ Vanecko, the nephew of former Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley. And from everything that has been published to... Read more »

Should Joliet Taxpayers Be Concerned?

Should Joliet Taxpayers Be Concerned?
The million dollar question around here these days is: Should Joliet Taxpayers Be Concerned? And the answer has to be yes after Housing Authority of Joliet (HAJ) Chief Financial Officer Charlene Potts and her husband Scott Washington were arrested for allegedly embezzling money from her previous employer, the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) between 2005 and... Illinois Pension Fund Reform: System Gaming Rife

Illinois Pension Fund Reform: System Gaming Rife
After decades of under-funding and inaction by the Michael Madigan controlled Legislature, the Illinois Speaker of the House has finally decided that the right time had come to propose Reform of the Illinois Public Pension System. And while that is absolutely imperative, years of inaction coupled with a legislative body that was all too willing... Read more »

Chicago Shame: Daley Family Clout Nearly Suppresses An Indictment But Shouldn't There Be More?

Chicago and the Daley's are synonymous. The two would serve a combined 43 years as Mayor of Chicago (21 and 22 years respectively) amid controversy and accusations of political corruption and nepotism. And now, it seems as though some privileged relatives of Chicago's most powerful family are in a world of trouble and despite the best efforts by some members of the Chicago Police Department and Cook County's State's Attorney's Office from letting this become a legitimate criminal case. A Cook Judge, though, has decided there is more than evidence that the case has been "mishandled" and this case bears a "close watch by all residents of Chicago."
I have probably written more posts regarding the deadly encounter between Richard “RJ” Vanecko and David Koschman than any other particular subject. The reason for this is not because I want to see the Daley’s get their just rewards – it is simply a matter of standing up for what is right and what is... Read more »

Judge Michael Toomin: Another Political Pawn or Will He Do The Right Thing?

Judge Michael Toomin: Another Political Pawn or Will He Do The Right Thing?
The Chicago Machine may not be the dynamo it once was. But don’t kid yourselves – its influence is still very much alive in the fabric of Illinois Politics. As a matter of fact, the Machine has done very well in the fifty plus years I have followed it and no doubt will continue to... Read more »

Anita Alvarez: A Walking Contradiction

Anita Alvarez: A Walking Contradiction
Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez, in my opinion, is a walking contradiction. So much so that I seriously doubt she can be trusted when it comes to protecting the rights of “everyday citizens.” If, however, you are connected to say, the former Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley and his cluster of political cronies, well,... Read more »

Koschman Homicide: Cook County State's Attorney Alvarez Should Resign As Judge Schedules Special Prosecutor Hearing

Koschman Homicide: Cook County State's Attorney Alvarez Should Resign As Judge Schedules Special Prosecutor Hearing
After writing numerous posts regarding the David Koschman homicide at the hands of former Mayor Richard M. Daley’s nephew, Richard “RJ” Vanecko, I have concluded that Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez should resign. Naturally this is purely my opinion, but, givenĀ  everything I have read and written one can can only conclude that the... Read more »
