Hear "The Interrupters" live today at noon

You've heard about the film, you've read our review. Now hear some of the people who brought the landmark film, "The Interrupters," on the radio live.

Today at noon, on our weekly radio show on Vocalo, the Barbershop Show, we'll be chatting with a producer of the film, plus many of the actual interrupters themselves--CeaseFire workers whose job is to get out on the streets and stop violence in its tracks. Tonight is the North Lawndale premiere of the film, and on our show, you'll hear people who actually work in the community talk about what it takes to stop the bloodshed.

You can tune in by setting the dial to 89.5 or stream it live on the web. If you miss the show, you can hear it later online or listen to the re-broadcast on Saturday from noon to one.

In preparation for the show, we asked our audience a few questions.

What's the root cause of violence in Chicago?

What can be done to stop it?

Leave us a comment here and tell us your answer. We'll read it live, on air, during the show.
