Over the weekend we held a David Lynch themed haiku contest, and while many haikus evoked the spirit of Lynch, none were as stunning as Julie Rea's incredibly haunting haiku. Read it below.

A little more about Julie Rea...
Julie Rea has previously had some short stories and poems published online, and has had an idea for a magazine submission accepted. After an extended hiatus from writing-to have 2 daughters-Julie is tentatively beginning to write again. She starts a creative writing course at Strathclyde University in April, with a view to possibly putting the accreditations from this towards an MLitt in Creative Writing, in the future. As a fan of Chicago Literati-and David Lynch-winning this competition has been a very welcome surprise and encouraged Julie to continue on with her writing.
