Bring Me The Head of James Franco: Literary luminary Ian Belknap's latest show is, in the words of Senior Editor Wyl Villacres, "the last show about celebrity we need." Join Belknap for evening of raucous standup comedy and provocative thought. Still not convinced? Read our review. Running through November 16th. Bring Me The Head of James Franco at The Den Theater, 7:30pm. Tickets are $15.
The Red Rover Reading Series: We spotlighted this series yesterday, but we really want to drive the point home. Curated by Jennifer Karmin and Laura Goldstein, this series aims to engage the audience and the performers and features a vast array of diverse artistic minds. Saturday's show features Deidre Huckaby, Jenna Lyle, Caroline Picard and many more. The Red Rover Reading Series at The Outer Space Studio. Doors open at 7pm and lock at 7:30pm. $4 suggested donation.
Jackalope Theater presents The Peacock: This new production by the stellar folks over at The Jackalope Theater Company is an original play written by the incredible Calamity West and directed by Marti Lyons. Set in December 1946 at a fiction writing program at an American university, this show is a "uniquely American exploration of violence, authorial intent, and gender." Running through December 8th. Jackalope Theater presents The Peacock at City Lit Theater, 7:30pm. Tickets are between $10/$15 and are available here.
The Ray's Tap Reading Series Has Allergies: This installment of The Ray's Tap Reading Series is centered around allergies, AKA, the bane of our existence. Hosted by the amazing Chris Bower and with a lineup that includes Margaret Chapman, Dave Snyder, Mason Johnson and Dan Shapiro, it's bound to be a fantastic night. Bonus points: enjoy a drink at the bar to the musical stylings of Tijuana Hercules. The Ray's Tap Reading Series Has Allergies at Prop Thtr, 10pm. Tickets are $15 (or pay-what-can).

2nd Story presents Sixth Sense: Stories of Warning and Awakening: Is there anything better than grazing over delicious plates of tapas, sipping a divine Pinot Noir (0r whatever you like) and listening to really fantastic stories in an intimate setting? No. No there is not. That's why you should come out to 2nd Story at Webster's Wine Bar at 7pm and treat yourself. The lineup features Germania Solorzano, Jessica Scott and JC Aevaliotis and is curated by Bobby Biedrzycki, directed by Elizabeth Rice, and features a soundtrack provided by Eric Hazen. This show is bound to be incredible. Running through November 11th. 2nd Story presents Sixth Sense: Stories of Warning and Awakening at Webster's Wine Bar, 7pm.
