Tuesday September 17th 

Come out to WRITE CLUB Chicago -- Chapter 49, A Time to Dismember at The Hideout. Write Club Founder and Overlord Ian Belknap will be presiding over another installment of this "punchy" reading series tomorrow night at 7pm. Featured performers include: Matt Pine, Mark Chrisler, Mason Johnson, Daniel Shapiro, Carly Oishi and Erin Kahoa. $10 cash at the door, ATM on the premises. 

Also on Tuesday night is the September installment of The Pungent Parlour at the Black Rock Pub in Roscoe Village. This unique reading series "draws on elements of a salon, set in a space that features couches and even a fireplace, and readers and audience are encouraged to interact before and after the show." Featured performers include: Kevin Robinson, Aaron Cynic, Ben Tanzer, Susannah Breslin, Jeff Phillips and Jeremy Solomon. The show starts at 8:30pm. Free show. 

Wednesday September 18th 

Come out to Powell's Bookstore for another edition of Guts and Glory. Samantha Irby and Keith Ecker will be your hosts and featured performers include: Stephanie Douglass, Mason Johnson, Corrbette Pasko, Arlene Malinowski and Jeremy Solomon. The magic happens at 7pmBYOB, free* (donations go to charity). 

At 8pmThe Pre-PostHumanists Present: Dumped is happening at the Strawdog Theater Company. Featuring the stories of Ryan Duke and Simon A. Smith, and directed by Brandon Paul Eells, this series smacks of WRITE CLUB, The Encyclopedia Show and The Neo-Futurists. Tickets available here.

Friday September 20th 

The God, Sex & Death Variety Hour with Danny Black returns! Come out to The Hideout at 6:30pm. This series weaves together stories, comedy and music. Performers include: Ray Teresi, LaFianza Pitzen, Martin Morrow, Jamie Campbell, Daniel Shapiro and Angela Vela. Music provided by DJ Scott Schaefer. $5
