Ba-Ba-Ba-Bad News Bible Church is BACK for the ultimate show down in our FINAL VOLUME, featuring Gahl Liberzon, cast regulars from West Side School for the Desperate, and an extra special ~mystery feature~. This Bad News is going to be so special, we had to move it up to SECOND SATURDAY. This is the open mic to end all open mics (literally?), and we simply cannot wait!
...WAIT. HOLD THE FUCK UP. THIS IS THE LAST BAD NEWS BIBLE CHURCH EVER?!
Yes, that's right folks. We're throwing in the towel on this here reading series. It's not you, it's us. No, really. You are the best thing that ever happened to us ♥ So come out and help us go out with a bang, boom, pop.
GAHL LIBERZON is the fucking homie, and a prolific writer and educator to boot. His first book, "Bodies Bodies Bodies Bodies Bodies," was released from Red Beard Press in March 2013. Galh is a native of Ann Arbor. He is a member of Neutral Zone’s Volume Poetry Project, a former coordinator for Detroit's InsideOut Literary Arts Project, and the curator of the Looseleaf Reading Series. His poetry has received numerous awards, most recently the Michael R. Gutterman Prize for Poetry. He is a graduate from the University of Michigan.
We'll also be featuring the poets-in-residence of West Side School for the Desperate--Kevin Kern, Aimee Le, Maurice Meaway, Nate Olison, and Stephanie Lane Sutton--because we're feeling ourselves.
Mystery Feature To Be Revealed!!
Doors at 8 (and not before!), show at 8:30. $5 suggested donation/18+. In lieu of celebrity chef, we'll be doing this month potluck style, so bring something to help feed the comrades! And please don't b your own -- ahh, fuck it, you know we'll have a fully stocked cash bar. Don't ruin it. Come thirsty.
See you April 13!
