2nd Story continues its book-release tour as three storytellers read their stories from the anthology Briefly Knocked Unconscious by a Low-Flying Duck: Stories from 2nd Story.

Andrew Reilly's journalism, essays, photography, and fiction have appeared in a number of fine publications including ALARM, Unified Field Theory, The A.V. Club, The Angler, The Beachwood Reporter, and Norman Einstein's Sports & Rocket Science Quarterly, among others. He also founded the award-winning 35th Street Review, curated the Normal Words artistic and literary showcase, and served as managing editor ofReservoir magazine. He holds an M.A. in journalism from Columbia College, a B.S. in Business Computer Systems from Bradley University, and resides in Chicago.
Earliana “Earl” McLaurin is a Chicago-based actor and director who haphazardly adds the title of “writer” to the aforementioned list. Earliana is a company member with Bareboned Theatre and has worked with such companies as Stockyard’s Theatre Project, Hell in A Handbag Productions, and Livewire Theatre. Earliana was last seen onstage in Dried and Cured Meats part of Joe Janes 365 Sketch Festival. As always, Earliana would like to thank her family and friends for their infinite patience and support!
Lott Hill is a poet, fiction writer, teacher, photographer, and a strong believer in engaged citizenship. He received his MFA in Fiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago, where he now serves as the Executive Director of the Center for Innovation in Teaching Excellence. Lott’s fiction, poetry, and nonfiction have appeared in multiple issues of Hair Trigger, Columbia Poetry Review,Fish Stories, B-City, Metropolitan Universities, The Spoon River Poetry Review, AdBusters, Demo, and the Association of American Colleges and Universities Peer Review and is a regular featured reader at 2nd Story. His story Crazy for You is also included in the 2nd Story Anthology, Briefly Knocked Unconscious By A Low Flying Duck.
