Loop Rock Girl Sweet 16 on WGN Morning News

Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit WGN-TV's studio as they were saying goodbye to their famous cafeteria named Cafe Nueve. After 40 long years, WGN decided to close down their kitchen.

WLUP's Loop Rock Girl 16 finalists joined WGN's Pat Tomasulo and Paul Konrad during the live broadcast of their Morning News. The station brought in celebrity impersonators as well as the cast of the The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil.

The winner of WLUP's Loop Rock Girl search will be crowned this Saturday evening, May 1st, at Austin's Saloon in Libertyville, IL. The event is open to the public and you must be 21 and older to attend.
