Community Gardening in Chicago

Over the winter I wrote an article on community gardening in Chicago for the Chicago Tribune. The article was/is aimed at new gardeners and Chicagoans who are interested in joining a community garden in Chicago, but don't know where to look for one, or what to expect from joining an established community garden.  If you live in Chicago and are hoping to join a community garden this year, check out the article as I think it might be of use to you.  The Peterson Garden Project was one of the sources for the article above. They had to move from their original location, but are on a bit of an expansion streak this year and starting a couple of new gardens around the city. If after reading my article you have the urge to join a community garden give them a look. If you're in the Forest Park area check out the Forest Park Community Garden, who was another source for my article.
