Wine & Wildflowers Benefit at Lincoln Park Zoo For Garfield Park Conservatory

Enjoy an inside look at Lincoln Park Zoo's lush landscapes with this charming garden party on Thursday, September 1 5:30-8pm. Guests will savor seasonal cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and meet author Julia Bachrach at this fundraiser for the Garfield Park Conservatory's restoration after it was damaged in the June hailstorm.

  • Shouldn't the Lincoln Park Conservatory throw the benefit to help the Garfield Park Conservatory? It would have been more appropriate, and arguably, more poetic.

    It would be fitting if the LPC did it to help their sister conservatory out. Heck, it would be nice if conservatories across the country did it, but the economy being what it is I'm glad anyone is doing it.

  • This is a great event and I hope the turn out is great. However, as I understand why they are having it - the replacement & repairs for what was destroyed in the storms has a high price tag. I wonder if turn out will be diminished due to others who have their own repairs bills from this storm?
