Last November, Time Magazine published an article “The Gods of Food.” The article immediately took criticism for not listing any “goddesses” or female chefs. Chicago has been a city supporting female chefs for a very long time and will continue that support by hosting the Women Chefs and Restaurateurs convention March 9-12th.
The conference will be an educational and networking experience with the theme “The Art of Keeping it Green.” The public is invited to attend and many prominent, local female chefs will be presenting as well as those traveling for the conference. The conference is focused on helping women not only open restaurants but how to run them successfully once they do.
To learn more about the conference agenda and to attend you can find more information on their website - http://womenchefs.org/conference/event-schedule/
