You can’t have baklava every month. Or can you? Really, no, you can’t. So the idea of Phyllo S’mores sprung up. Let’s get to it:
1 package of phyllo sheets
Butter (can be omitted if preferred)
1 package of 12 oz chocolate chips
1 package of mini marshmallows
Preheat the oven to the baking temperature shown on the package of phyllo dough.
Layer 6 sheets of phyllo dough into a metal pan, brushing butter onto each sheet (unless omitted—then just layer the sheets without it).
Sprinkle a generous amount of chocolate chips and marshmallows between every 6 layers of phyllo.
Top off the pan with 3-6 layers of phyllo dough.
Slice into diamonds prior to baking.
Bake at the temperature and time listed on the package of phyllo dough.
The result may be a tad dry unless you choose to go the baklava route and drizzle honey sauce over the baked product. Marshmallows and honey? Nah.
An alternative is to omit the marshmallows. You’d then have a chocolate croissant-like result.
