No longer do you have to travel the world to get a taste of McDonald's global offerings which are now available, on a rotating basis, at the chain's restaurant on the ground floor of its corporate headquarters (110 N. Carpenter St.).
The new spot, opening today in the hot Fulton Market part of town, just a stone's throw from Google's Chicago headquarters, will kick off its global menu with the following:
The Mighty Angus Burger from Canada, a 1/3 lb. angus burger topped with a glazed poppy and sesame seed bun, lettuce, onion cheese and bacon and smoky angus sauce.
The McSpicy Chicken Sandwich from Hong Kong, a spicy breaded, deeply marinated chicken breast fried to crispy perfection served on a classic sesame seed bun with lettuce.
Cheese & Bacon Loaded Fries from Australia, Our World Famous Fries, served with warm melted cheese and crispy bacon bits.
The McFlurry Prestígio from Brazil, vanilla soft serve ice cream, mixed with strawberry sauce and chocolate covered coconut bites.
The Manhattan Salad from France, a mix of lettuces, baby kale, romaine and spring lettuce topped with grape tomatoes, dried cranberries and sliced apples, served with choice of crispy or grilled chicken and a breadstick.
The Mozza Salad from France, a balsamic dressed pasta salad with roasted tomatoes, served with mozzarella cheese, arugula leaves, choice of crispy or grilled chicken and a breadstick.
In addition, you can always find all the classic McDonald favorites like the Big Mac, the Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Chicken McNuggets and Fries on the menu.
The 6,000-square-foot space features a contemporary design, kiosk ordering, table service, a Latin American style dessert center and an Australian McCafé area with fresh brews.
The rest of the nine-story McDonald’s HQ is scheduled to open later this spring in the Sterling Bay development. The upper floors will house McDonald’s corporate offices and a Hamburger University.
