What to Eat at Taste of Chicago

I usually have a glass is half-full attitude when it comes to my food allergies but I’m not going to sugar coat it. It really sucks to have food allergies at the Taste. It is just not fun watching millions of people eat food you can’t eat while they talk about how delicious it is.... Read more »

Oldies but Goodies

The first edition was published in 2003. Eating for Beauty is one of the first books covering the topic of raw and superfoods. This book breaks down the specific benefits of each beautifying food and also includes recipes. I still keep this quote from David Wolfe, close to my heart, "Proper nutrition is an art. It is an art form. Every bite is a brush stroke. Every swallow is a new color. Each meal is a cloud or a tree or a flower--- a piece of the beautiful painting that you are becoming. You are becoming an ever more attractive work of art each day. You are truly a work of art in progress."
There are some books that are just like a classic Channel suit that never goes out of style. Thankfully real food is back in vogue again. Here are some of my favorite classic nutrition books.
