Joann Mitchell, Sacramento's Gluten Free Food Examiner is a celiac and California native who is very much in tune with her Puerto Rican heritage. She's also a mom of three and has a passion for cooking and baking. This week her blog showcases lots of great ideas for the Super Bowl. Part 1: Hello mini corn dogs, ideas courtesy of Pamela's Products. Part II is all about gluten free chili and cornbread.
I was in Gene's Sausage Shop (4750 N. Lincoln Avenue) in my neighborhood and noticed that they have a lot more wild game in the freezer: New Zealand venison stew meat or patties, buffalo, rabbit and ostrich. Of course if you prefer, they do have lots of deli food to go just always mention your allergies before making purchases. I have found the staff there to be very helpful.
